Are twin flames meant to be together? (A different perspective)

So, you’ve found out you’re on a twin flame journey and are trying to understand what it’s all about and if you are meant to be together or not. I’m on my twin flame journey for a little over 5 years now and, just like you, I had a lot of questions. Fortunately, I now have the answers.

You’ll be happy to know that, indeed, twin flames are meant to be together. However, you probably already figured it’s a bit more complicated than that.

Are twin flames meant to be together?

One of the biggest questions people have when they find themselves on the twin flame journey is whether they are meant to be together in the end.

The simple answer is yes, you are meant to be together with your twin flame. In fact, you are never not together with your twin flame. It’s impossible for you to ever be entirely separated from your twin flame. Whatever you do, you are joined as one in the level of the mind.

Does this mean you are also destined to be together physically in this lifetime? The answer to this question will completely depend on the decisions both you and your twin flame take in the next couple of years. Let’s dive a little deeper into this topic so you can gain a deeper understanding of your twin flame journey.

Understanding how destiny works to know your future with your twin flame

I understand there is nothing you want more than to physically be together with your twin flame. I’ve been there, I know how it feels. And I doubt that feeling will ever leave completely.  But fortunately, you learn to live with it.

It’s been said that twin flames are meant to be together, also in the physical realm. And that when they reunite physically, it will be in their final lifetime. This means that you will have to be in your final lifetime before you become enlightened for this to happen.  What are the chances for that to happen? Only a handful of people have reached enlightenment in the entire history of humanity. Do you still think this is the correct belief about what happens when twin flames reunite physically?

Or is there a different way to understand destiny?

Our destiny is already determined even before we are born. We have a sense of free will because it appears we have the ability to make choices and take decisions that can determine the rest of our life. But the physical reunion with your twin flame has already happened a long time ago. If it ever happened at all, of course.

Reality check and learn how to live your twin flame journey

Because let’s face it. Most people on a twin flame journey need a reality check. Trust me, I’ve been there. Thoughts about your twin flame dominate your days. You’ve read countless articles, you know about all the twin flame signs. You’ve seen all the videos about twin flames on Youtube. And you’ve subscribed to the ones that confirm your feelings that indeed you are meant to be together with your twin flame.

You might’ve consulted numerous psychics, and had multiple tarot readings, just to hear that the reunion with your twin flame is right around the corner. Selling you hope and creating a very dangerous addiction to, what at the moment, is your only real connection with your twin flame.

You are supposed to be the most spiritually advanced of the two. But here you are, stuck in an obsession over another person, putting your life on hold. And possibly your bank account as well. Giving away the control of your life completely. To something that might or might not happen in the future.

I don’t want to make you feel bad and I certainly don’t want to crush your dreams. But I would like to invite you to take a different approach. It’s obvious you’re not feeling well and stuck in a vicious circle that leads you from moments of hope to absolute despair. And with inner peace nowhere to be found.

The spiritual connections between twin flames

You need to step out of this cycle, take control of your life, your thoughts, and your feelings. Trust and enjoy the spiritual connections between you and your twin flame. Most likely you have lived many lives together before, and have built up a lot of karma that both of you need to resolve on your own.

Of course, there is a deep connection between the two of you. Of course, you both are capable to feel each other. No matter how much time has passed, no matter what the physical distance is. So, why don’t you try to enjoy this connection? Instead of wanting to force the physical reunion?

Sustain that beautiful connection, that feeling of deep love where nothing can stop this energetic link between you and your twin flame to flourish. And understand that ultimately, there is no difference between what you see with your eyes, and feel within.

How to understand the twin flame reunion

We all make the mistake to want to skip a few steps on our twin flame journey. We’re impatient, we want our twin flame to be with us now. But you really need to take a step back and first start to understand what the twin flame reunion really is.

Its sole purpose is your spiritual awakening. Your spiritual awakening is achieved by coming to a complete understanding of who you are. And once you understand that you are not your body, not your personality or character, and not even your soul. But instead, you see you are Spirit. And that, within that Spirit, you are joined as one with your twin flame. Only then will you be truly prepared to experience that union.

A union that, in reality, was always there. Your task is to eliminate all the barriers that block you from seeing and experiencing that union

Nothing happens outside of your mind. So, once you are able to see that and experience the union on that level. You will not need the physical reunion anymore. Giving you the freedom to live and love. Without judgment, without attachment.

Only a liberated mind is capable to love unconditionally. And that is what you will achieve if you take this approach.

Joining your twin flame on the level of the mind

I understand your twin flame is a big part of your life. For me she still is. I really understand what you’re going through. I’ve been through it all myself as well. But I’ve learned how to find inner peace. I’ve learned how to love her without her being physically present. And I’ve now finally come to a place where I don’t need her. I just love her and let destiny play itself out. Without expectations and without attachments to a certain outcome.

Because I joined her in my mind. I now understand we were never separated. I understand there is no difference between me being with her physically or without her. What makes the difference is how I perceive it and how I feel.

And when there are moments I don’t feel well, that I somehow still miss her, or feel the need to be with her. I know I am not perceiving the situation correctly. And the only thing I need to do is to get back to the understanding that we are all one. Join with her in my mind, and know that my inner peace and happiness are right there, within myself.

The purpose of the twin flame journey

So, the purpose of the twin flame journey is not the physical reunion. It’s your spiritual awakening to the understanding that there is no separation and that there never has been any separation at all. 

It’s not an easy path. It requires you to change all your beliefs about yourself and your life. But it’s also very rewarding. Because when you manage to change your perception, you will be free. Your life will not be owned by your wishes and desires. Your happiness will not depend on your external circumstances. Neither on other people and their presence or the absence of it.

This process takes many years. These changes don’t happen overnight. They take a lot of perseverance and commitment on your end. But you will find it’s worth it. Because, whether you know it or not, you prefer freedom and peace above anything else.

And this might just get you to the place where you always wanted to be, right next to your twin flame. Heading towards eternal life in the light of Spirit where everyone is united as one.
